Yesterday I went to New York to handle the enrollment information to Chineses Embassy.At five o'clock in the morning we started and at nine we arrived at New York.The Embassy locates by the Huddsion River and faces an "Intrepid" airship.It is aboslutely a good place to overlook New York city's panorama...However,you know that I didn't have they opportunity to look at the full scene on the top of our Embassy,yet I still got something different:
First I saw some people,no more than ten persons, wearing in yellow raincoat sat on the ground,they claimed:"Support FALUN DAFA,Support ZHEN SHAN REN","Legally punish J.... ....../ L......../Z......../L........","CPC CAMP cruelly treat members of Falungong,killed them and sold theirs heart and kidney"etc.Probably because it's raining at tht time,there were no people gathing around them.
Second,where there is chinese,there is chinese culture.Chinese culture influence the world deeply and can change people totally.I went to Visa HALL and asked the service man who is a foreign guy for direction.He didn't show other service man's patience,and quickly demonstrates his inpatience.It makes me think about the power of our chinese cluture.Unlike yesterday,the staff in Bank of America showed great professional and then easily earn my esteem.I DELAYED but they offered to help me get my account number.I misunderstood, they showed great patience and taught me how to complete the form.For example,The routing number and the checking account which confused our foreigners were taught experienced by them:)
Third,on the way back,we drop by the biggest Casino, Hegon Sun,in connecticut.It is said that more than 35,000 persons can play at the same time in this place.The striking phenomenon is ,the majority of the people playing in this space is aged and retired men and women.If you want to find a beauty or a handsome,you will be disappointed definitely. From 12:00 to 5:00PM,I went around the arena,but I still didn't know where its borders are .Millions of storages around,thousands of people play,but you can not hear the shouting voice or see any bad behavior.The order is really much better than those which was organized games.
Fourth,morever,many chinese come here for fun,maybe more than fun.inside a large hall,around those storages are all chinese men and women,most of them are younger than those aged Americans.And the most characteristic is chinese people gethering around those compatriats who were playing games.(Later I found that American also like gathering together,not for everything,but for a superstar who was coming casino for selling hers CD.) I knew that some of them come here for traveling,some migranted from China for different reason.They can't speack English and don't have a job,so this arena maybe one good place for them to kill time.
Fifth,I will move into 688 Parker street on Sunday.It costs about 700 hundreds dollars per month,that means seventy percent of my scholarship goes to Amercian landlord's pocket.Ironically we come from different countries to rescue the US collaspe economy .I guess my living standard will be decreased harshly.But no doubt I have to keep on.
